EPISODE 16: Mixed Signals

Things get personal this week. A kiss changes everything - or does it? Vuyanzi shares a moment that has her rethinking her whole approach to dating, which opens up a bigger and messier question: do you go looking for something serious, or do you wait for it to find you? Brendan and Vuyanzi do not agree, and it gets interesting.

In this episode:

  • The big debate - "try it before you buy it" versus "teach it when you reach it": two positions, zero consensus, and the accidental revelation that one host is a toxic Sagittarius and the other a toxic Gemini
  • Deep Dive - the grey zone between friends with benefits and something more: how do you know when feelings have shifted, and why is it so hard to say it out loud?
  • Queer & Black Joy - Vuyanzi meets a restaurateur and comes away with a story worth telling; Brendan revisits an old boo who almost became a new boo

Vuyanzi

Hey, Kisses from Kenya is produced by Democrats Abroad Kenya, but everything you hear in this podcast reflects our personal perspectives. As Americans living in Kenya.

Brendan

Yes. And I think we say it should be taken as the official stance of Democrats Abroad Kenya, Democrats Abroad Global, or the Democratic Party. And this is an entertainment space and not an official policy platform.

Vuyanzi

Thank you. Maybe it's yeah. Um also living here, and now I'm actually starting to feel a shift. A shift that I don't know I want to if I want to be a player no more. And I'm not kidding. I I think I'm almost ready.

Brendan

Romance. You want to talk about romance?

Vuyanzi

Oh my gosh, we can love it, happiness. Love it, happiness. Love it, happiness. Well, I will I will say I was kissing. I say a frog, because sometimes you gotta kiss a lot of frogs to get to the prince. And recently I was kissing.

Brendan

This is where every man that has ever dated you that's watching the podcast is gonna give a thumbs down and take our baby. Because you're trying to dog them out.

Vuyanzi

I'm not dogging them. It's just uh what is it? Are euphemism or something? For uh I was kissing a guy recently.

Brendan

Just be aware before I know every time I say slide in the DMs, be aware before you slide up the DMs that she might be ready here, ready to roast you. No, three weeks later.

Vuyanzi

But I like could not kiss him at one point.

Brendan

Wait, this this this is our episode, so welcome to Kisses from Kenya. I'm Brendan.

Vuyanzi

I'm Booyah.

Brendan

And she's about to tell us all about all the sock she had swirling around in her Gucci. Hello, hello. That's a pond of sorrows.

Vuyanzi

It is not a pond of sorrows. Oh god, listen. It's more like the beginning of the Nile. Okay, listen.

Brendan

The blue Nile.

Vuyanzi

The strong wet Nile. Listen, I know I was kissing him. Energy is everything, and I'm really feeling a shift that maybe I'm ready to settle down. Because when I was kissing him at one point, I was just like, like, it was energy, and it wasn't like he's a clean guy, he smells great, his breath was fine.

Brendan

That's the only requirement that you have.

Vuyanzi

I'm gonna start raising my standards. Anyway, he's clean, his breath is sick, he smells. I'm sorry, he smells okay.

Brendan

She could she clean, she doesn't smell like either bags. Like that that's that's that's the level that we're going for.

Vuyanzi

It is gonna be deeper. No, I think it'll be deeper, but oh, so we're moving beyond that. Yeah, because it was energy. Everything is energy, and there was a point that I was like So the Nile dried up. It oh dried up for sure. And I was less like, you could be my friend, but that'll be the most it'll ever effing me. Um, and and so after that, I almost like I feel this internal shift. Like, I know, I I know, and I'm a player player. Like I enjoy playing the field. However, maybe I'm telling too much on the I enjoy I enjoy the environment. Um before friends come over, they're always like they're like Are you alone? During COVID, some called to check on me. Are you okay? No contact with anyone. Are you okay? I'm like, I'm surviving. I'm a survivor. And uh yeah, so I don't know what's happening right now. There's a shift. Um, there was, I'm I'm I'm a little bit nervous to say this other story. Um just do it. Okay, I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do it, do it. I told you I was giving my number out of the back of the bonus last week. So there was a person who um is from our country who's been here not that long. And so I had kind of met up with him before. No, I met him, but then now we were gonna meet up with each other outside in public. Nope.

Brendan

You're fine?

Vuyanzi

Oh, is he fine? Yeah, nice body, everything. And we talked and we spent the whole day together. Yes, yes, yes, he's cast a shadow. He has a shadow. He has a shadow.

Brendan

That's my new bar. I'd be like, stand directly under overhead lighting.

Vuyanzi

I mean it's all too. So it's gosh. But my nose It's flowing by the river. If I buy water bar, and listen, I didn't kiss this guy or anything, but there was such intimate conversation at one point. But then I went home and I said to myself, self, would you would this be nothing ever happened after that? In fact, I know now when we see each other, it'll be like, hey, what's up? Boom, like a dude. But I'm like, not you dapping up the homie. Oh, I know how to dap a homie.

Brendan

You so you you put him straight in the friend zone.

Vuyanzi

Yeah.

Brendan

Why?

Vuyanzi

Well, I almost didn't. That's the thing. That night it could have gone down. But I was like, no.

Brendan

If I was at home, but so it's either asleep together on the first date or a friend zone?

Vuyanzi

No, no, no. That's the sort of hat that we're using. No, I'm just saying, you know, sometimes feelings like oh, he lives at home. In an energy strong.

Brendan

He lives at home.

Vuyanzi

No, he lives here. He moves.

Brendan

Well, then what's the problem?

Vuyanzi

I'm not into him. I wouldn't date him at home. Not date him, but at home, I wouldn't go for a guy like that. And don't ask me like that. It's just not my type. He's fine, but he's not my type. And I'm like, why are you even doing that to yourself?

Brendan

She's over here trying to dam up the Nile for what? I'm gonna call you Ethiopia.

Vuyanzi

Don't do that. Now all the Ethiopians are gonna give us thumbs up.

Brendan

You know, they fight with the Egyptians because they dammed up the river. Well, don't Why are you trying to damn up the river?

Vuyanzi

I I don't know.

Brendan

Let the river flow back.

Vuyanzi

I think he's just gonna be in Miami. He's gonna be. Why can't it be both? I don't want him to be both. I wouldn't date him at home.

Brendan

See, I feel like it's actually easier if I just like get it out of the way and sleep with you.

Vuyanzi

Tell me about what sense that makes.

Brendan

Then I don't have to worry about. Like I don't have to wonder about later. I'm not gonna be like it's like we already did it. I'm like a sort of at that point, that's my sorting out moment. Where I'm like, all right, are you gonna go into like potential friend zone or like I'm not calling you?

Vuyanzi

I do not have that. That is not my homeless.

Brendan

Let me climb on the bike, give it a try. Give me the little test friend.

Vuyanzi

No, I don't want a test friend. I don't know. He's gonna be like, I cannot.

Brendan

This can't I cannot be out here like a Nicholas Sparks novel where we're gonna have sexual tension for the next two decades. And then when I have old and shriveled and have a giraffe pussy, that's when all of a sudden. We're like, wait, never mind. Oh and let's go. Let's spend six months together before I find out that you're battled with cancer and die.

Vuyanzi

I almost peed on myself. Wait, no, wait, wait, no, wait, stop, stop. Everyone, stop he's just going to be a homie. I think I did pee on myself a little, a little, a little. It's a lot of things.

Brendan

Always.

Vuyanzi

So, so, but no, I want someone for real. I want somebody to love me for me, not because I'm MC Heavy D. Do you know that song? That was heavy D. God rest his soul. Um, yeah. So anyway, I feel the shift. I'm glad I did not do anything with him. I saw them the next day. And oh, okay. So this is.

Brendan

So is this you say, like, are you telling yourself that like the old you would have like gone to pound town?

Vuyanzi

I think so.

Brendan

Okay.

Vuyanzi

Yeah.

Brendan

Now I'm putting the pizzas together. I wasn't really following the narrative of the.

Vuyanzi

I know, I know, because that's how I tell a story. It's terrible. When I it's like I'm holding back on things, so you'll just have to be a club.

Brendan

That's the Gemini part.

Vuyanzi

Yeah, totally. But I saw him the next day, and this is very interesting. So I he was kind of acting too. Huh?

Brendan

Does he smell good?

Vuyanzi

Oh, yeah, he's I think he smelled pretty good, yeah. We didn't smell bad, but I saw him the next day, and so he was kind of now laid back because now it's in a club atmosphere, and so there's a lot of women, beautiful women there. So he's like, hi, he's just now he's gonna be just chill. And then he came over and sat by me, and they say, always look at a man's feet. And so he's sitting, his feet were like this.

Brendan

Because you have a hook finish?

Vuyanzi

No, because they say you'll see who he's paying attention to. And so I was sitting over here, and there was this woman who all of a sudden just like, oh, hello, I'm such and so. And he's like, Oh, this is you know, hello. And so I keep looking at his feet because now I'm not even feeling him the same way. Yeah, I'm not, and then slowly his feet, his body, his feet started to turn. He never turned his back on me, he never was outright rude, but I could see his feet, and it's this guy.

Brendan

We had already friend zone him.

Vuyanzi

Yeah, but well, in my mind, he didn't know that.

Brendan

But his We always know.

Vuyanzi

Really?

Brendan

Because your energy changes then.

Vuyanzi

Yeah, I guess my energy was different when I saw him.

Brendan

Yeah.

Vuyanzi

Well, anyway, I think you It's like now I'm just here with my assistant. Yeah. And then he turned his feet that way, and I was like, uh-huh. Like, but he was trying to make it seem like, oh, when I see you there, I'm a uh, you know, I'll roll up on you, you know, I'll dance with you, I'll do that. Yeah, you probably gave him nothing in response. Oh. Sorry.

Brendan

This is like a we create the environment for our own success, my dear.

Vuyanzi

Right, because actually when I danced with him, I kind of like was like this, like he's over there. Not you doing like the fucking 90s move, Camel.

Brendan

You came out here with your Queen Latifa vibe. Just let you know. You and I TI! The market is closed. Okay. Please, you don't know. This is where the toxic Gemini traits come in. Like, really, what it was was that you were still mad because he didn't want you no more, even though you already decided you didn't want him, but you still want to watch you.

Vuyanzi

Is that my all? You sound like you know a lot about astrology. Do you know about us, Geminis?

Brendan

Yeah. Problematic. Oh my god, Sagittarius, we're problematic too.

Vuyanzi

Oh my god. Yo, my cheeks are hurting so bad because you just real quick just broke that down. Exactly. I got nothing. I'm done. Yeah, there's a shift. Gagged and gooped.

Brendan

Lock it up. Romance, romance, romance.

Vuyanzi

Yeah, how do you feel about romance? Romance.

Brendan

I don't know. I mean, I'm open I always tell people like I'm open to it, but like my thing is like I don't like to go out like looking for it. Because I find that when I put myself in that mindset of like, I want a boyfriend. Yeah. Like that's when I do stupid shit. Really? Because like that's when it's like I start overlooking things. Cause it's like I just want like now. Oh, you just have a goal in mind. I've decided that I want to, yeah, because I'm like a fucking insane, you know, former charter school principal, like data-driven, blah, blah, blah. It's like, okay, cool. How many? Like, our North Star, find a boyfriend. Like, it don't matter who, it don't matter how. Lift the ready. Like, red is a pretty crack. I'll be under a crack and I'm crevetting and I'm gonna find you, I'm gonna drag you out. Great. This is the one.

Vuyanzi

But do you want to settle down? Do you want to settle down? I'm open to it. Really? Okay, because there's some hoes in there. There's some holes. Like I said, I gotta try it out for it.

Brendan

Try it before you buy it. This is like Menacenter. I gotta have it for a month first. You can teach it. Let me pay it month to month before I do the full arm. You can teach it when you reach it. Why don't you try to read me back? Anyway.

Vuyanzi

This is the first time you're drinking any water. Oh my gosh. I know you're a thirsty. There's some hoes in it. There's some thirsty hoes.

Brendan

Yeah, I mean, like, so typically what I say is like, I mean, all the times that I've wound up in relationships before, it's always just kind of been by happenstance. You know, like it'll be someone that I meet. A lot of times it's like just like a hookup, like, you know, we meet on grinder or whatever. And it's like, okay, like I like your vibe. You're like, let's hang out. Yeah. And then one thing leads to another, and then all of a sudden it's like, you know, like a month, two months later, it's like, wait. Are we dating? We go together.

Vuyanzi

I was thinking about that. Like, when's that line? When does that line come? Like, when do you see crumbs?

Brendan

I've gotten in trouble a lot of times. This is my toxic Sagittarius trait because, like, for me, it's like until we sit down and have the conversation of like we go together. Yeah, we don't go together. I think so too. So if I'm like out here trying to get clapped by someone else, like don't you're not allowed to be bad because you haven't like I agree you have not launched the conversation. Like you have to at least have like the no assumptions. The hut spa. The hut spa, yes. To chutpa is what you get married underneath, right? I think so. Yeah.

Vuyanzi

I don't know. That's an SAT word. Are you doing SAT words again? No, it's very good.

Brendan

We both from New York, I forget. No, but you have to have the hut spa to like actually like have the conversation. Like you need to say, I like you, like I want to be with you. And like really, like for me, like that's I think the biggest thing, like, when we talk about romances, I think for me right now, it's like I find that like most of the men that I meet don't give me that chick. It's like they want to be chased. Like, I I feel like right now, like, I don't know if it's because of social media and all the likes or like Tinder or what, but it's like everyone wants to be chased. And I don't necessarily want to be chased, but I do want you to at least be able to like show them. Show them healthy. Yeah. Like I like you, like, and I want to be with you.

Vuyanzi

Yeah. That's fair. And no assumptions should be made.

Brendan

Well, or it's just like, it's like, I mean, you know, it I also notice energy, right? Because it's like, you know, if I'm if I always have to text you, you know, if I always gotta make it. That's bullshit. That is so bullshit right now. Then it's like, what are we doing?

Vuyanzi

Yeah, yeah. That was like that that other guy who came and went. Um yeah, but the whole thing.

Brendan

What's that uh gas station coming called?

Vuyanzi

He came and he went. I think I would love a shirt like that. But okay, so to that point when you it doesn't matter until you like a person though.

Brendan

Because let's say Well, it's the same thing that we're saying, like, with your situation, right? Like it doesn't matter until I decide it matters or it doesn't matter. Because other than that, it's just incidental. Like, I mean, people are gonna have crushes on you or not.

Vuyanzi

Yeah. Um but I'm not getting chased that much though. I feel like there's always guys buzzing around, but I'm not feeling the chase. And I'm a I want to feel the chase from a man.

Brendan

Well, like I said, I it doesn't have to be chill. Like, I'm not trying to be like, I'm not trying to be one of these like difficult people that like wants guys to do whatever.

Vuyanzi

No, I want someone to show interest. Like all the time. It's basically not once every five years.

Brendan

How's your day?

Vuyanzi

Or it's two two weeks down the line, you decide, oh, let me get in touch. Like, at least consistent.

Brendan

I mean, at first it could be like incremental, but like not no two weeks.

Vuyanzi

I'm sorry. Do you really like me or do you not like me? Because at least, and you don't need to say good morning. I actually don't like good morning texts. Grandvising queen. I hate good morning texts. It's so how do you feel about grandvising texts? And I'm a grandriser. I am a grand riser. I'm not gonna lie to you. I grandrise lots of people and I grandrise queens all the time. But in that domestic.

Brendan

Wait, this makes so you're a hotep. Your inner being, you're a hottep.

Vuyanzi

Oh my god.

Brendan

This makes a lot of sense.

Vuyanzi

I and you know what? I didn't even know you knew what a hotel was. No. And hotteps can be a different conversation because we can have a whole episode about a different episode about the hoteps because yeah.

Brendan

Because I've climbed on top of a few of those. Problematic.

Vuyanzi

I run into them and then I just try to avoid them afterwards.

Brendan

But no.

Vuyanzi

You know what? Not the aunt necklace. Not the African Bombado.

Brendan

Like it's the black bombada.

Vuyanzi

The Kente cloth and the the Koofy. No, uh, I can't. I can't. Not interesting.

Brendan

But a lot of times they have they cast a shadow. A lot of times.

Vuyanzi

I keep looking down. What is going on here? I hope we don't get canceled because it's if I see Ariel, I'm gonna let you know.

Brendan

Okay. That's the later. That's where they pull the plug out of YouTube.

Vuyanzi

That's it.

Brendan

Okay.

Vuyanzi

That's all he wrote. Thank you, folks. Peace. Um, okay. I hate the good morning text. There is a great coach, dating coach, called Coach Arnwar. And he's, and I do follow him a lot. He's your dating fairy coach, by the way. He's a fairy godbrother. He says they'd probably send them to a million women. Good morning. Like copy, paste, copy, paste. So that's like me on Tinder.

Brendan

Hi there. Hi there. Hi there.

Vuyanzi

Really? Do you copy and paste high there?

Brendan

No, I mean I I type it every single time, but I can't.

Vuyanzi

It's the same message.

Brendan

Yeah, I'm not. Well, because I mean, like, well, I mean, I don't know about like with Tinder, like at least a lot of times for me the problem is like volume. Because it's like I have to get it. I might have like 75 matches. Like, and all y'all try, like, I'm not gonna have 75 different, like, what am I doing wrong?

Vuyanzi

I've never had 75 matches before. You're you're getting called off of bonus, you're getting 75 matches, you're getting chased and pursued. What am I doing wrong with my life?

Brendan

I but most of the time it's because they all just want to take a ride down the Nile, which like again, like I'm not denying them the opportunity, which is why they're all matching and messaging.

Vuyanzi

Maybe because I deny some entry entry. There's some entry denials, a lot of entry denials that go on here. I mean, it's different for a woman anyway, right?

Brendan

Like, hey, you know, I'm just trying to see what what's the vibe, what's the what's the what's the spark in the connection?

Vuyanzi

I'm not and it's wonderful.

Brendan

That's where they go in the sorting hand. They're on a shoot. I can't. Which shoot are you going?

Vuyanzi

I can't. I don't know. I don't even know. Okay, anyway, let me just let me let me just say that could be a whole nother episode to our mind daily. Okay, we'll need to do an episode about that too. Um, yeah. Yeah.

Brendan

Anyway, what's your black joy?

Vuyanzi

I was gonna say, what's your career joy? You go first. Because you didn't think of anything, did you? And you're I began to buy my face. I thought you brought it to the memory. Like it was like, okay, fine. I already know. You have now you're not ready. Um, my black joy was today. Um it happens just to be that I'm black and it was joy, so I'll just share it. So there was this We've established that that's yeah, there's this uh cool nice little local place called Mambo's, actually. And another friend of mine had told me about it. It's a local bar within walking distance of where I live. And so I was filming it. There was it was early morning. A guy was sitting over there on his computer, and I was filming, talking to my friend as I filmed, and then as I'm walking. By the guy's like, hello. I was like, hello. Because of course, me. I'm like, well, why are you coming up toward to me? And then he I found out he was the owner. He's a Zimbabwean. And um he's been there for six years. And it was just good to find he was a good looking. He was a good looking man. I think he has a girlfriend, but it was just a con a nice conversation.

Brendan

Be a homewrecker.

Vuyanzi

I'm not gonna be a homewrecker. And it was just a nice vibe. He's very What did they say?

Brendan

If you can conceive it, you can achieve it.

Vuyanzi

Yes. You know what? I'm not. It was just innocent. And it was a great conversation.

Brendan

When that gets you in trouble, that girl won't run up on you.

Vuyanzi

Can you imagine? And he he invited me. I was with a friend. He invited us for lunch one day because this place apparently has really good meat.

Brendan

Can I come for lunch?

Vuyanzi

Yeah.

Brendan

And try the meat.

Vuyanzi

I'm not trying. Neither one of us are trying the meat. We're gonna have the meat.

Brendan

Not the meat. The meat. Capital T, capital M. Lowercase T, lowercase M.

Vuyanzi

Wait a minute, what?

Brendan

Saying not capital T, capital M, the meat. Yes. Lowercase T, lowercase M, the meat. The meat. The meat. Yes. That's fine. I like a platter.

Vuyanzi

You know what? You always know where this goes. You always know where this goes. If we stop talking about meat, we break in trouble. And by the way, I do this all the time outside of here. You know, if somebody says meat, I'm like a seven-year-old. Yeah, all the time. And I know people get sick of me. Okay.

Brendan

Now are you ready?

Vuyanzi

Yeah.

Brendan

Well, actually, no idea how to join. Joy, joy. Joy, joy, join. So on my New Jersey trip, I finally came up with one. So I got there on Wednesday. Flew into Newark. Um, but like who wants to stay in Newark? Like, no one, no offense. Two thumbs down.

Vuyanzi

No one. No one. And I'm from New Jersey, Bergen County in the house.

Brendan

Yeah, like that's fine. But like not two thumbs down. Um, so I drove down to Philly.

Vuyanzi

Oh, nice.

Brendan

Spent the night in Philly.

Vuyanzi

Oh my goodness. Who was in Philly?

Brendan

Well, so technically, I was there like for like so I I had set up a meeting with the DNC vice chair, Malcolm Kignano.

Vuyanzi

Oh, oh, the guy who we watched on the video that's okay.

Brendan

Oh, that's so cool. Yeah, he was a so he's a state um representative or state senator. I think he's a state senator. Sorry in advance if I fucked that up. Um but so he's in the Pennsylvania State Legislature representing Philly. So because that's where he's from. So um I had decided like I'll go down to Philly, spend a night, meet up with him in the morning for breakfast, and then I was driving up to Harrisburg the next day to see my daddy's cousin.

Vuyanzi

So cool. So um Harrisburg, aka Pennsylvania. Go ahead. Yeah. Really? And Harrisburg.

Brendan

Well, it depends on which side of town you are, maybe.

Vuyanzi

What am I doing wrong? Anyway, go ahead.

Brendan

Anyway. So Pennsylvania or Philadelphia. I so what I realized when I was like touching down and like like when I was like pulling up to my um hotel, because I stayed at a hotel in Center City, so it's like oh yes, yes, yes. Which hotel was it? Um the double tree.

Vuyanzi

Okay, no, I'm familiar with that area. My friend used to live over there.

Brendan

So, you know, it's like right up like like three blocks up the street from City Hall, you know, like ten blocks, maybe, or like eight blocks from Reading Terminal.

Vuyanzi

I love I love somebody else.

Brendan

So, but I realized like I was like, I have not been here since like middle school. Oh, like since I was here like on a class trip. The constitution like in college hall and the Liberty Bill and all that shit. Or maybe well later I realized I was like, maybe I was here in college because like I think my corral, like I was in the corral in college, the choir, and we went on tour every year. And I think one of the years we went on tour to Philly. Or I don't know if we went on tour to Philly or if we did like Philly in DC as like a loop, but it was like something like that.

Vuyanzi

Okay, I see.

Brendan

Um, we're all right. So shout out HWS Colleges Corral. Um so, but I was like, oh, I was like really excited to like see the city, but I was also you know excited to see the city of brotherly love and experience the brotherly love. What I can tell you is I experienced the brotherly love multiple times in that night. But what took me out was like the first man who rolled up, and actually, like this is the second time I've had this experience because I was in Philly a while ago because I had like a layover, but that was just like for like like it was a long layover for the day, like it wasn't like a so I I like left the airport, but I didn't leave the airport like yeah, area area, but actually both when the man rolls up, he's like after after the the main attraction after you took the the ride down the Nile, he was like, Welcome to Philly. And I was like, excuse me. Do y'all have like a an official like welcome bag game?

Vuyanzi

Is that how they're welcoming me?

Brendan

Welcome to Philly. Thank you. But then what was hilarious? So, like the next day, you know, like I I've spent the night, you know, wake up in the morning, you know, I'm on like a conference call for like a work thing. I'm like walking for like because you know, checkout time. Well, I checked out because I think my meeting with Melham was at like 11 or something. But I, you know, I left all my stuff at the airport or at the airport, at the hotel, you know, walked because you know, it was like a 35-minute walk or something like that.

Vuyanzi

It was easy, so it's such a walkable city, yeah.

Brendan

Yeah, so I like went ahead and walked, you know, got to see like the sites. I'm like on my conference call for like a contract that hopefully by the time this airs, I will have gotten. Pray over that. Yeah. Um, went, had the meeting, you know, which I thought was like such a funny like dichotomy, right? Because it's like here I am coming from like a night of carnal pleasure to go have my like political meeting. Yes, and here's my proposal for expanding voter access in Pennsylvania. Um Welcome. Which was a good proposal, by the way. Um sure, I'm sure. And then, you know, from there, like I had of course, like posted something like I had tweeted about like how I was like in Philly, and I was like, about the what the Philadelphia welcome wagon. And this guy that like I have been like Twitter friends with for like probably like 10 years was like, You're in Philly? Like, oh my god, like let's have a drink. But so like this doesn't count.

Vuyanzi

And he drank from the fountain.

Brendan

No, that's on a hole for my next visit. But oh because well, so like he didn't see it until I was already out, like at breakfast or whatever. Yeah, so you know, I was like, Well, I'm like leaving in a couple of hours, like to go to Harrisburg, but like, where are you at? Like, are you free today? Like, just on the off-chance you are, like, let's meet. And he was like, Well, you know, I'm gonna take my break at work in like an hour. And you know, he was like, I have my little scooter, I can scooter over and like meet you. So I like walk back to Reading Terminal, have myself a nice little like jaunt around Reading Terminal. There's a spice shop in there where I like was talking to the girl that was behind the counter. Oh, you must have gone case. Blah blah blah blah blah. That girl gave me like five pounds of spices for like $20.

Vuyanzi

Like, wow, I don't know what Brendan is an amazing cook, so those spices will get used.

Brendan

Oh, yeah. They they up in there right now. So I was buying all kinds of stuff. We talked, so then he came and met me. We had a little lunch, like there in the terminal, and then like, you know, walked around and talked a little bit, and then like he walked me back to the um double tree, you know, waited with my bags while I went and got the because I had a Jeep. I don't know if you saw my Jeep. Yeah, I did. I saw you in your Jeep. Well, I like and got the Jeep, and then like, you know, and so we had a little nuzzle there on the sidewalk. Oh my. And I was just like, what a nice, like that is a lot of joy right there.

Vuyanzi

Yeah, that's what I was.

Brendan

So I was like, I'm gonna be back. Filling. You'll see me again. I'll be inside you again.

Vuyanzi

Swimming! Rolling down the nile.

Brendan

Roll, roll, roll your boat. Why is this turned into the fucking Amazon trail?

Vuyanzi

Oh, you want to see what you want to do.

Brendan

Five people in your party died.

Vuyanzi

Oh my god, I remember the Amazon trail from when I used to teach. Oh my god. Sorry, I just it just like it just dawned on me when I would take them to the computer.

Brendan

Whatever if your party touched the poison dark frog.

Vuyanzi

Okay, you guys, thank you for being with us. Don't forget to like what you see, subscribe, subscribe, and comment down here.

Brendan

Vuyanzi

Oh, and even if there's a topic.

Brendan

I learned from I was telling you about the the bald and beetles before the the drag podcast. I learned that like if people comment anything, they could even be like, fuck you. Like, they can write anything they want, and it helps us in the algorithm.

Vuyanzi

Oh, just write whatever you want then in the comments. Just put period.

Brendan

Just put a period.

Vuyanzi

Yes, and so with that, let's put a period at the end of this episode of Kisses from Kenya.
